Being Kind To Yourself

Happy Spring!!! And Full Moon!

I already saw a bunny rabbit and a robin in my front yard. I feel so much more connected and in alignment with nature this year – it could be because of the extra walks I’ve been taking with my dog Max, or the emotional release work I’ve been doing – old baggage that has been blocking me from feeling joy and connection.

Lately, I’ve been getting the message from the angels to “be kind to myself”.  Interesting. Because I always thought I was good at self-care. But I’m learning that even putting oneself in circumstances where there is potentially accidents, being disorganized or over-giving are ways of being unkind. Never mind the critical voice or the pressure to have to do or be something more than who you are in your heart.

This has made me contemplate what kindness to oneself means. What does it look like? How would I behave differently in all areas of my life if I were kinder to myself?  And I’m sure that it would mean I would be more aware of being kind to others, too, in a genuine and helpful way.

So here’s a brief list I’ve made for myself about what it means to be kind to me.  I’d encourage you to do the same for yourself…

When I’m kind to myself I:
1)      Don’t let myself get scammed or pulled into someone’s   agenda that doesn't feel right to me
2)      Meditate every day to stay focused and in alignment
3)      I eat cruelty-free foods and less processed foods
4)      I don’t expose myself to high-drama and conflict even if it’s with friends or family
5)      I go dancing once a week
6)      I pay my bills on time (or maybe even a bit earlier)
7)      I only give my love to people who deserve it
8)      I go to a healer or therapist when I’m feeling in pain, confused or stressed
9)      I don’t overbook myself with appointments
10)   I simplify my life

What would it mean for your life and relationships if you were to be kinder to yourself?

With hugs,

Why I Love Soul Constellations

Every time I facilitate Soul Constellations (commonly known as Family Constellations), I walk away with a deep feeling of connection, peace, clarity and a strengthening of self.  I form an intimate understanding with the participants – people who may have been complete strangers a mere few hours before – and see many of my own challenges in what they bring to the circle. I quickly become humbled at the level of healing that happens in this work, simply by acknowledging and seeing the personalities at work in our family of origin and ancestors.

It becomes apparent in Constellations that when we’re caught up in trying to run away from, or blame, or re-enact the ancestral or national suffering, we block our growth in love, wisdom, compassion and inner peace, and with that – abundance of life. By facing “what is”, a person can finally see, accept, feel and move forward with love not loneliness or suffering in our hearts.

Constellations has a way of helping us move through these issues that seem long-standing, impossible to move and sort out, or are plain old dark and nasty.  It brings to light all the areas of pain in our dynamics and allows for greater connection to trickle in, without it being fake or play-acting.  In essence, it drops us into our hearts rather than staying in the ego. Where there is judgment and shame personally and collectively, Constellations has a way of processing it and moving one into greater understanding. And understanding is the basis of true love.

What I find most profound about it is in what happens afterwards when a shift in attitude or way of seeing our circumstances happens – our lives begin to feel lighter or more meaningful, we can manage the dynamics with our family better, and sometimes there are long-standing resolutions of old conflicts.  As well, there are no limits to what can be addressed with Constellations – health issues, career direction, an affair in a marriage, death of a friend or loved one, or barriers to success – where these issues are all held with deep care. And throughout it all, I feel the greater love of the universe and all the beings that support us, which is what the truly spiritual life is meant to lead us to.

I would love to get know you and your family system better, if you are open and willing.  I hold these gatherings at my Open Your Heart retreats which have been known to offer profound life transformations.  For more info about the retreats, please visit: http://www.blossomingheart.ca/retreats---events.html

I also offer personal soul constellations sessions at my office in Guelph.  To book a FREE Sharing Our Hearts session, please feel free to book it at: http://blossomingheart.checkappointments.com

Angel Stories

This past weekend I was at the Psychic Expo in Hamilton.  This is the second time I was at this show. I wasn’t sure if this was where I was meant to be – things were moving slowly and I wondered if perhaps I had misinterpreted my signs for being there.

Then I realized that no one else there was talking about the angels openly and I was the only angel communicator and card reader there. As soon as I called in the angels for help and announced that I would be a messenger for them, people came by the table and were curious.

There were various responses to the angels by people who passed by the table– some turned their nose up, others felt undeserving of their healing and others were so glad to receive the messages and immediately signed up for a reading. It was remarkable the various reactions to them.  But the right people who were meant to connect to the angels came for a session and the remarkable blessings and love were felt throughout the weekend.

Later in the day yesterday, I did a talk at the Psychic Expo about the healing power of angels.  I asked the audience to raise their hands if they knew about or connected with the angels. About 7 people in the crowd of 30 or so people raised their hands. I was so surprised at how few of the attendees at the Expo were in alignment with the angels.  I knew then that this was my purpose for coming to the show – to be an instrument to awaken people up to the angelic realm.

I went on to explain that the reasons why many people don’t connect to the angels is because they feel not good enough for the angels or they carry guilt and shame and fear and don’t believe they deserve healing.  The angels are there as helpers and see all of us very lightly. They want harmony, peaceful relationships, non-violence and love in the world. They have a way of protecting us from negative and harmful experiences. But we have to ask for their help as they won’t intervene without permission.  The angels offer a different type of wisdom than the fairies, the elements or the moon/sun, or other deities.  I find that working with them there is a place of opening for deep and playful love and helps to dispel the myths of a judgmental God or Creator. They try to work with others who want to open their hearts to greater love, joy and well-being and seek to transform people’s lives.

I was blessed to receive stories by 2 different people about how the angels had helped them.  One woman said she had a death experience and she was carried by two angels who had black bodies and big grey, downy wings.  They were so gentle and soft and she felt so much peace. She said that she rejected herself from heaven because she was still fighting it and was struggling.  She knew she still had a lot of work to do when she returned to earth.  She had never fully believed until that experience happened to her.

Another woman mentioned that she had a very negative experience with a ghost who was bothering her.  At her wit’s end, she did prayers for about 10 minutes to God and the angels and immediately she saw all this bright light come into the room and she was overcome with feelings of peace. She was able to sleep well that night and was never bothered again by the ghost. She said that she doesn’t tell everyone the story because they would think she was crazy. She had never encountered a ghost before and she wasn’t a religious person. But this experience made her believe.

These stories are so confirming to me that everyone deserves the angels’ love, peace and intervention. It doesn’t take much to connect with them and, so long as we are on the path of love and non-violence, they will continue to support us.

If you have an angel story you would like to share, please send me an email to: heather@blossomingheart.ca and I’ll post it anonymously in the next newsletter.

If you would like an angel soul reading to get the gentle guidance from them, please consider booking a session at: http://blossomingheart.checkappointments.com
